Ogive is a collaborative project between Elías Merino (ES) and Chris Herbert (UK), exploring the interplay and contrast between their distinct approaches to sound. Built around a process of organic collage, the project combines processed found sound with algorithmic composition. Driven by a shared aesthetic and a desire to move beyond the bounds of their individual practices, Ogive focuses on the beauty of imperfection and gestural sonic accidents—an ever-shifting interplay between laminar plateaus and intricate surface detail.

Folds comprises works slowly crystallized through Ogive's synthetic world of sound particles and their complex behaviors that give rise to active and static sonic microstructures. The tracks are the product of an extended period of experimentation, investigation, and refinement, finally fixed during winter, 2017.
